Foam stabilizers are great because they give your handmade bags body, stability and an overall professional finish. We see By Annie patterns love Soft and Stable for that great finish. Many other designers are now using either Soft and Stable or Bosal In-R-Form
But what's the difference and which should you choose?


By Annie's Soft & Stable and Bosal In-R-Form.
Soft & Stable is a craft foam specially developed for using in bags and craft projects.
Bosal In-R-Form is a fusible foam; we could not find a noticeable difference

The main cons for Soft & Stable were that it's not fusible - although it does not crease badly and a final press will help.
Bosal is fusible, did crease badly so that took lots of pressing. Comment! Bosal now have a Sew in foam available!
Finally I will add that using Shape Flex applied to the back of the outer fabric gives extra body and deals with the creasing, the secret from the professional bag makers!
With the extra interfacing added you will find pressing the creases is so much easier and maybe creases will not appear at all!
We have used Soft and Stable for years, we have also used Bosal In -R-Foam.
