This batting is microwaveable. Size: 10.5” x 10.5”

100% cotton pre-cut batting to make a microwave bowl cozy.

Instructions:

• Place pre-cut batting on the wrong side of a 10.5 inch square of cotton fabric.
• Using 100 % cotton thread, fold and stitch darts 1/4 inch away from the batting cut edge.
• Trim out fabric excess. Repeat with second square of cotton and pre-cut batting.
• Put right sides together and stitch around the outer edge.
• Leave an opening for turning.
• Turn and stitch the opening closed.

If you plan to put the bowl cozy in the microwave, you absolutely have to use 100% cotton materials.

Bowls can get hot when heated! The two layers of batting ensure that you can safely handle the bowl cozy without burning your hands or set on your table without damaging the table’s surface.
If your machine complains about all the layers - You can try sewing with a walking foot to more easily glide over the layers when sewing.
