NEW WOOL MONSTER PRESSING MAT!
Wool Pressing Mat absorbs heat, pressing both sides of fabric at the same time!
Use with or without steam for a professional result.
TIP Use a telfon pressing mat on top of your wool mat when you have glue stick, fusible web etc - you do not want to damage your wonderful wool mat! Also protect your iron we never want that glue damaging our irons. Many Quilters use Best Press or Starch - you want to avoid spraying this directly onto your Mat - have a fabric cover to set on top of mat when spraying - avoid that brown marking that appears when ironing on top of spray starch. We have all seen this on our ironing boards!. Muslin is a good choice to cover mat when spraying - Freezer paper another good idea.
Besides flatter blocks, there are a couple of differences between pressing on this mat versus directly on your ironing board. This Wool Pressing mat grabs your blocks as you press - no moving around, what a bonus! It holds heat and steam, which is why I prefer to use it on my ironing board or on a protected surface - condensation goes right through - do not put directly on your cutting mat! I would hate you to end up with a warped self healing cutting board!
