Insul-Bright consists of hollow, polyester fibers needlepunched through a nonwoven substrate and through a reflective mylar. The needled material is breathable and won't break down with washing. The hollow fibers resist conduction while the reflective mylar resists radiant energy. Can be used for insulating COLD foods - well as HOT foods.

Insul-Bright is a specially made fabric that reflects hot and cold energy back to itself. This material needs to be used with at least one layer of cotton batting in order to absorb condensation. It will keep your fingers 5⁰ to 10⁰ cooler or about and extra 5 to 10 seconds of carrying time. Please be aware that the instructions say to keep a layer of batting between the Insul-Brite and the heat source. They aren’t kidding. The fuzzy stuff on either side of the foil is polyester
