Which fusible?

Start off by choosing your fusible web. We like Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 because it leaves less weight in the finished product and it's a double sided fusible. That means it has paper on both sides of the fusible. You can keep both papers intact while tracing, then remove one side for initial placement on your fabric.

Before fusing, tack your project to a wall or try on a garment to check appliqué placement; you're able to reposition pieces while you're wearing them.

If you change your mind about the appliqué fabric you are using, simply peel off Steam-A-Seam and stick it to new fabric.
Since you haven't fused Steam-A-Seam to your applique material, you can remove it from your fabric scraps and use both the excess fabric and Steam-A-Seam for other projects.
There is no waste.
